Wimax vs Streamyx

P1 Wimax vs Streamyx ?

Lets put it in a very simple IT term.

Wireless Broadband vs Wired Broadband <- think !

Not to say any of the option is better, but if you only needto access to the internet while you are at home with your desktop, get a wired connection. Internet is just like flying kite.

But if you are always on the move, always never pay your house rent, typical Malaysian who balik kampung often, get a Wimax you dont need a stable connection, as long there is a connection just like flying remote control aircraft, you dont play in the rain, lightning, windy day & etc.

If, just if you are at home, always at home but like to move your notebook around like crazy, get a wireless router then, extend by using a repeater or better antenna to your swimming pool, share movie with neighbours/apartment friends.

I’m not saying our wired ADSL (streamyx) is good,

1) All internet connection will use the same Malaysia backbone which is the root cause of the bottleneck (outgoing/incoming to Malaysia network)

2) Streamyx is slow, but that is the fastest if you compare all just because the fact of wired is better than wireless.
