Being an a**hole with CentOS / RHEL for a week

Its been a hairwire week for me.
I’m not a RH fa.
This is notRedHat neither, its CentOS.
Last I use(install) RedHat is the day I learnt how to install Linux with Amril(corpsie) that time he himself is still in secondary school.
If not mistaken he was in form 4 (1996) at that time.
The problem start when I cant do nslookup on a new build CentOS.
As a normal user, 1st thing 1st.
Check my /etc/resolv.conf
Double check my /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0
Delete any /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0:* just to avoid from doing manual add route in the troubleshooting steps.
Check my /etc/hosts just in case I did any stupid entry in there
iptables -L to check if there is any line blocking 53 from going out / coming in.
Got tulan after few days, I remove the firewall
Saturday morning, 5am watching TV, beh tahan I drove over to office (my home internet line is dead, another headche)
I sat down, redo the mentioned steps, so I check with Pian, if he have any idea.
do nslookup
yeah the entry in resolv.conf is not registered.
Know what ? these stupid tmnet somehow disallow certain subnet to use their NameServer (that f**k*r who email/fax this IP details should have include the new NS to be use with the subnet assigned to us)
I end up using external DNS, wont say this is a temporary solution, I will just keep on appending any new NS from tmnet.
This is how my resolv.conf looks like & the function now working fine.
root@ns5 [~]# cat /etc/resolv.conf
nameserver 205.234.170.215
nameserver 205.234.170.217
nameserver 208.67.222.222
nameserver 208.67.220.220
nameserver 202.188.0.133
nameserver 202.188.1.5
root@ns5 [~]#
Took me a while to install CPanel, 1pm ride back home, wife woke me up at 6.30, its a rainy day.
Sorry Ebby, ujan .. dak buleh mandi ah ari ni, len kali kita mandi kolam eh ?
